Edit JSON quote templates

📝 Note: The quote templates feature is now offered through Document Builder. If Document Builder is fully configured on the marketplace, you can navigate to Document Builder, and the quote templates feature within it, through the user interface instead of a URL that you enter. See Document Builder.

Marketplace Managerscan edit user-defined quote templates (those they save and create). They cannot edit default quote templates.

When you edit a published (active) template, the edits do not publish automatically. They remain in draft until you publish the template again (see Publish quote templates).

❗ Important: Keep the template ID in the URL in the address bar of the web page to access the template again.

To edit a quote template

1. Go to the URL of the quote template page provided by AppDirect.
2. Click the gear icon | Edit JSON.
   The Edit JSON page opens.
3. In the Editor console, edit the JSON.
4. Click Validate. The Error console displays errors or a message that no errors are found.
5. (Optional) Click Template. The template preview appears.
6. (Optional) Click Preview PDF. The template preview with mock data appears.
7. Do one of the following:
   • When errors are found, edit the JSON to resolve them.
   • When no errors are found, click Save Changes.
8. (Optional) Publish the template. See Publish quote templates.
